I wasn't able to reproduce this bug. Both the slink and potato versions of mime-support and metamail worked fine:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/t$ metamail -b -c image/x-portable-pixmap bg-greenhill.xpm This message contains 'image/x-portable-pixmap'-format data. Do you want to view it using the 'display' command (y/n) [y] ? ---Executing: display [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/t$ There is only a minor problem: metamail leaves a zero-length file in /tmp (/tmp/mm.DdxZRp in this case). (The "display" command above was run on another file in /tmp, which metamail correctly deleted.) The potato versions I tried were: ii metamail 2.7-34 An implementation of MIME. ii mime-support 3.9-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap', and sup -- -=- Rjs -=- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
