Hello, I'm the current maintainer for gnome-jabber, and was wondering what is the best thing to do with this package. Upstream have stoped its development, and instead joined efforts with gossip developers. Last release was made almost one year later.
The software isn't very (nor gravely) buggy, but it also doesn't, AFAICT, offer anything special in relation to other jabber clients available. So, what's the best thing to do with the package? AFAICT, the options are: 1) Remove 2) Make it a dummy package that depends on gossip (or anything else) 3) Leave it alone (maybe fixing some of the bugs) -- Gustavo R.
