I agree that it isn't good enough and I think a lot of people will be unhappy to discover this when they upgrade. Last night I finally decided I had to write the importer, so I've proposed an import command for the wtmpdb tool upstream: https://github.com/thkukuk/wtmpdb/pull/26 This will probably require a bit more negotiation than my simpler fixes but I'll see what I can do to get something satisfactory for our users!
