Package: procps
Version: 1:3.2.8-10
Severity: normal

I've been noticing this error for a few months now, and I think the error
manifests itself after a resume from hibernate or sleep. The 'top' and 'ps'
commands
are showing very large values (i.e. hundreds of days) for kernel tasks (i.e.
init,
events, etc.) and daemons, or even applications (i.e. iceweasel) if they have
not been restarted since boot time. Currently the values are 'pinned' to a
value of 246-22:14:05, but 'uptime' shows the correct value: up 12 days, 5:23.
If any task is restarted the cumulative CPU time (/proc/<pid>/stat 'stime') is
reset and things look OK. In order to attempt to reliably recreate I will
reboot then sleep for awhile, then resume and see if I see a noticable increase
in stime/TIME/CPU values. The running kernel now is a custom job and my
timer frequency is 1000 (CONFIG_HZ_1000=y) but this problem occurs will
stock Debian kernel also.

This may well come down to a kernel issue (i.e. fs/proc/array.c) but I
thought
I'd start here, maybe someone else has noticed this or there is a similarity to
other open issues (#408879 ?).

Attached is the output of 'ps -eo command, time'
