Package: src:gtkam Version: 1.0-5 Severity: important Tags: sid trixie User: debian-...@lists.debian.org Usertags: ftbfs-gcc-14
[This bug is targeted to the upcoming trixie release] Please keep this issue open in the bug tracker for the package it was filed for. If a fix in another package is required, please file a bug for the other package (or clone), and add a block in this package. Please keep the issue open until the package can be built in a follow-up test rebuild. The package fails to build in a test rebuild on at least amd64 with gcc-14/g++-14, but succeeds to build with gcc-13/g++-13. The severity of this report will be raised before the trixie release. The full build log can be found at: http://qa-logs.debian.net/2024/07/01/gtkam_1.0-5_unstable_gccexp.log The last lines of the build log are at the end of this report. To build with GCC 14, either set CC=gcc-14 CXX=g++-14 explicitly, or install the gcc, g++, gfortran, ... packages from experimental. apt-get -t=experimental install g++ Common build failures are new warnings resulting in build failures with -Werror turned on, or new/dropped symbols in Debian symbols files. For other C/C++ related build failures see the porting guide at http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-14/porting_to.html [...] | long int * In file included from /usr/include/gphoto2/gphoto2-filesys.h:38, from /usr/include/gphoto2/gphoto2-camera.h:54, from ./gtkam-camera.h:22: /usr/include/gphoto2/gphoto2-file.h:136:51: note: expected ‘long unsigned int *’ but argument is of type ‘long int *’ 136 | unsigned long int *size); | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^~~~ gtkam-exif.c:162:42: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 1 of ‘exif_data_new_from_data’ differ in signedness [-Wpointer-sign] 162 | edata = exif_data_new_from_data (data, size); | ^~~~ | | | const char * In file included from /usr/include/libexif-gtk/gtk-exif-browser.h:25, from gtkam-exif.c:33: /usr/include/libexif/exif-data.h:92:57: note: expected ‘const unsigned char *’ but argument is of type ‘const char *’ 92 | ExifData *exif_data_new_from_data (const unsigned char *data, | ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^~~~ In file included from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtktoolitem.h:31, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtktoolbutton.h:30, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkmenutoolbutton.h:30, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtk.h:126, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkpixmap.h:32, from gtkam-cancel.c:31: /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtktooltips.h:73:3: warning: ‘GTimeVal’ is deprecated: Use 'GDateTime' instead [-Wdeprecated-declarations] 73 | GTimeVal last_popdown; | ^~~~~~~~ In file included from /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/galloca.h:34, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib.h:32, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gobject/gbinding.h:30: /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib/gtypes.h:580:8: note: declared here 580 | struct _GTimeVal | ^~~~~~~~~ gtkam-cancel.c: In function ‘message_func’: gtkam-cancel.c:161:22: warning: variable ‘cancel’ set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable] 161 | GtkamCancel *cancel = GTKAM_CANCEL (data); | ^~~~~~ In file included from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkobject.h:37, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkwidget.h:36, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkcontainer.h:35, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkbox.h:35, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkhbox.h:35, from gtkam-clock.h:22, from gtkam-clock.c:20: /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtktypeutils.h:236:1: warning: ‘GTypeDebugFlags’ is deprecated [-Wdeprecated-declarations] 236 | void gtk_type_init (GTypeDebugFlags debug_flags); | ^~~~ In file included from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gobject/gobject.h:26, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gobject/gbinding.h:31, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/glib-object.h:24, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gio/gioenums.h:30, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gio/giotypes.h:30, from /usr/include/glib-2.0/gio/gio.h:28, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gdk/gdkapplaunchcontext.h:30, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gdk/gdk.h:32, from /usr/include/gtk-2.0/gtk/gtkwidget.h:34: /usr/include/glib-2.0/gobject/gtype.h:725:1: note: declared here 725 | { | ^ gtkam-clock.c: In function ‘gtkam_clock_update’: gtkam-clock.c:173:20: warning: Deprecated pre-processor symbol: replace with "g_date_get_weekday" 173 | weekday = g_date_weekday (date); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ make[3]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/src' make[2]: *** [Makefile:591: all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' make[1]: *** [Makefile:460: all] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>' dh_auto_build: error: make -j8 returned exit code 2 make: *** [debian/rules:18: build] Error 25 dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build subprocess returned exit status 2
