Greetings from England, It appears to be several years since significant changes were made in the Debian package:
https://packages.debian.org/buster/libsendmail-pmilter-perl Please forward this mail to the appropriate person(s) if necessary. Recently I took over the maintenance of the Sendmail::PMilter package on CPAN. I have made substantial changes to the package and I have released development versions, the latest of which is here: https://metacpan.org/release/GWHAYWOOD/Sendmail-PMilter-1.20_03 I have been using the development versions in production on very low volume mail servers for more than two years. Aside from fixing outstanding issues and generally dragging the module into the 21st century, I have added tests and changed the minimum Perl requirement. I intend greatly to extend the documentation and tests; to replace the old examples with examples (including some templates for user code) which I hope will be more useful; and to add support at least for Postfix. It seems to me that a little effort now could simplify publishing the Debian Sendmail::PMilter package; improve its integration with other packages; avoid some potential pitfalls; and give the user a path to the implementation of Sendmail milters which is both quicker and much more straightforward than what is available now. Do you think we can work together to this end? Kind regards, Ged Haywood.
