hello:
I am about to adopt tgif and I would like to know if this bug is still present in the current version of tgif. Please see below for more information:

Two separate bugs, apparently, but who knows the misterious ways of software bugs? To reproduce, download <ftp://fly.cnuce.cnr.it/pub/tmp/ground_segment_init_coll.obj>. Then, from a console:
I have not been able to find this file, not surprising given that the bug is 10 years old... I have used one of my *.obj files to test.
================ first example ================ $ tgif -print -tiffepsi ground_segment_init_coll.obj Tgif Version 4.1 (patchlevel 34) Copyright (C) 1990-2000, William Chia-Wei Cheng Error: Can't open display: ===============================================
I have not seen this error in 4.1.45 or in 4.2.2 (the new version I am about to upload).
Unfortunately, tgif fails also when given a display, and apparently in a more serious way: ================ second example ================ $ DISPLAY=:0.0 tgif -print -tiffepsi ground_segment_init_coll.obj Tgif Version 4.1 (patchlevel 34) Copyright (C) 1990-2000, William Chia-Wei Cheng Reading 'ground_segment_init_coll.obj'... XBM file [720x383] printed into '(null)'. xbmtopbm: EOF / read error pnmtotiff: EOF / read error reading magic number EPSI file printed into 'ground_segment_init_coll.eps'. ================================================
I see this dialog in 4.1.45 but the eps file is properly generated. I do not see even this error in 4.2.2 and the eps is generated properly. Cheers, Carlo -- Carlo U.
