On alpha, arm, hppa, hurd-i386, trang FTBFS with the following: checking for gcj... no configure: error: GCJ not found in $PATH and indeed the gcj dependency is dropped for these archs. The dependency should rather be kept, to make it clear what is missing on these archs (hurd-i386 is now actually very close to have gcj), so please drop the condition.
