Upgrades should not be affected, but you are of course still right for new installations. I understand that you would like to have trang in Lenny, but I don’t know whether it is a good idea to actively get an orphaned package into a stable release. I’m not willing to pick up this package, I merely provided a patch for it last September. I also see that there is movement on #454810, so I don’t really consider it my task to follow this further.
