Package: beep-media-player
Version: 0.9.7-1
Severity: normal
After upgrading from version 0.9.6.1+cvs20040813-6 to 0.9.7-1 I couldn't
play the playlist that the old version had saved. It gave me an error
message that was not exactly helpful: (translated from german)
The following files could not be played. Please make sure that:
1. they are available
2. required media plugins are activated
More details only showed the path of the file (a file:///... URL with
white-space encoded as %20). It took me a while to figure out that it
didn't like the URL format. A newly saved playlist of the same files
plays just fine. It saves local file system paths now.
I don't care much how the playlist is saved, but old playlists with
file:///-URLs should continue to work.
Thanks,
Felix
