Package: xmms
Version: 1.2.8-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

(very trivial issue)

In the french i18n of xmms, I noticed that the string "plugin" remains
untranslated in translated strings.

There is a french translation of this word that is used by many
softwares like the Gimp, dia, gnumeric, galeon, which is "greffon".

I tried to find the mail address of the french translator of XMMS but
was unable to find that information the AUTHOR file and on
xmms.org.

I assume that for the debian maintainer of xmms, it should be easier
to get in touch with that person. Would you like to ask him if it is
possible to translate also the string "plugin".

Note that some translators thinks that keeping English words is ok
when these english words are usual, it may be the case here.

Thanks,
Regards,

Hello,

I've been not able to find any 'string' string on the french pot file
(on the msgstr fields) anymore.

If you are still sure the bug is not fixed within xmms-1.2.10
+cvs20050809, feel free to reopen the bug and more info is truly
appreciated and welcome.
