Hello,
the package lists python-ldap in its dependencies, but python-ldap does
not seem to exist anymore. Instead, there are <python-version>-ldaptor
packages which suggest that zope-ldap should probably be ported to use
one of these. Otherwise, when doing a dist-upgrade, zope-ldap would get
uninstalled and thus likely break any Zope applications that use them.

Sorry no one got back to you sooner, zope-ldap currently doesn't have a
maintainer.

There must have been some screwup in your Packages file. python-ldap
is alive and well, and no transition is necessary.
