Perversely, you need to click two save buttons: one for the individual record (to save it into the database) and one for the database (to write it to a file). Bibview should either pop up a "Unsaved data. Exit Y/N." box when exiting with unsaved data. Failing that, it should have a large and clear indicator on the main window that there is unsaved data. Failing that, it should write out a copy of the database. I've lost minor amounts of work several times, because the behaviour of bibview is so unexpected. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages bibview depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libxaw7 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Athena widget set library ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-4 X Window System client libraries m -- no debconf information --------------------------------------- Received: (at 257686-done) by bugs.debian.org; 31 Jul 2005 22:32:50 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jul 31 15:32:50 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from sorrow.cyrius.com [65.19.161.204] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1DzMMU-00084N-00; Sun, 31 Jul 2005 15:32:50 -0700 Received: by sorrow.cyrius.com (Postfix, from userid 10) id EE07564D54; Sun, 31 Jul 2005 22:32:49 +0000 (UTC) Received: by deprecation.cyrius.com (Postfix, from userid 1000) id D196484B0; Sun, 31 Jul 2005 23:32:33 +0100 (BST) Date: Sun, 31 Jul 2005 23:32:33 +0100 From: Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Removed from Debian - unmaintained Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.9i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-3.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00 autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 X-CrossAssassin-Score: 93 This package has now been removed from Debian because nobody was interested in maintaining it; see http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2005/06/msg00014.html for more information. -- Martin Michlmayr http://www.cyrius.com/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
