Package: bibview
Version: 2.2-8
Severity: important

If you enter data into bibview,
and then click the [x] box of the window manager,
you will lose all unsaved data.

Perversely, you need to click two save buttons:
one for the individual record (to save it into
the database) and one for the database (to write it
to a file).

Bibview should either pop up a "Unsaved data. Exit Y/N."
box when exiting with unsaved data.
Failing that, it should have a large and clear indicator
on the main window that there is unsaved data.
Failing that, it should write out a copy of the database.

I've lost minor amounts of work several times, because
the behaviour of bibview is so unexpected.

This package has now been removed from Debian because nobody was
interested in maintaining it; see

for more information.
