No, from the information in the bug report I read that you just forgot to do type "save" and then "exit". "std" and "old" are not intended to exit, so it isn't a bug. This isn't intuitive or so, but it is the intended behaviour. Sorry for not commenting when I retitled the bug. Note that wn is currently not maintained, I just looked through the bug reports of orphaned packages.
