Instead, I got it in the upper left page, out of 9 (=3x3). (If I delete -iconic, it is coming up in the middle upper page, which is what I want.) I think it is not fvwm fault since other applications do come iconified. Another remark is that xisp -iconic & from an xtrem does work. 2) issuing xisp -geometry +2828+0 -iconic & from an xterm doesn't work properly as well. This time xisp does get iconified. But, again, the icon is not in the right page. 3) After writing this bug report, I deleted most of my .xsession stuff. Instead, I am using .fvwm2/init-hook. With this method of starting fvwm, xisp -geometry +2828+0 -iconic does get iconified. But not in the right page. BTW: With the .xsession method, there were occasions that exiting fvwm left .xisppid (and the /tmp fifo ?) in place. Which caused the "Can't run 2 xisp ..." when I logged in the next time. This hasn't (yet) happen with the init-hook method. I am using fvwm2 (2.0.46-BETA-3), and Versions of the packages fvwm2 depends on: ii libc6 2.0.7t-1 The GNU C library version 2 (run-time files) ii xlib6g 3.3.2.2-4 shared libraries required by X clients ii xpm4g 3.4j-0.6 X Pixmap libraries (for libc6) - runtime --------------------------------------- Received: (at 29949-done) by bugs.debian.org; 13 Oct 2003 04:21:15 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 12 23:21:14 2003 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from bangpath.uucico.de [195.71.9.197] by master.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1A8uCo-0006J4-00; Sun, 12 Oct 2003 23:21:14 -0500 Received: by bangpath.uucico.de (Postfix, from userid 10) id 2FBD726B27; Mon, 13 Oct 2003 06:21:14 +0200 (CEST) Received: by deprecation.cyrius.com (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 439F8FE99; Mon, 13 Oct 2003 14:20:51 +1000 (EST) Date: Mon, 13 Oct 2003 14:20:51 +1000 From: Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Removed Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.4i Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-1.5 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_01 version=2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_10_09 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.53-bugs.debian.org_2003_10_09 (1.174.2.15-2003-03-30-exp) This package has been removed from Debina unstable because it was unmaintained for quite a while. -- Martin Michlmayr [EMAIL PROTECTED]
