Subject: ssh: scp client does not interoperate with SSH(R) Secure Shell(TM)
server
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
X-Mailer: bug 3.2.10
Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: Fri, 08 Jun 2001 16:42:52 -0400
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Package: ssh
Version: 1:2.5.2p2-2.1
Severity: wishlist
When connecting to an SSH(R) Secure Shell(TM) 2.4.0 server using the (open)scp
client, I get:
scp: warning: Executing scp1 compatibility.
scp: FATAL: Executing ssh1 in compatibility mode failed (Check that scp1 is in
your PATH).
This is bogus since SSH(R) Secure Shell(TM) 2.4.0 doesn't even support the SSH 1
protocol. The (open)ssh client works fine using SSH 2 protocol.

Hi!
Ssh2 was removed from the Debian archive this morning. It's
replacement, openssh (ssh package), does not seem to be affected
by this bug; therefore, I'm closing it.
Kind regards,
Bas Zoetekouw.
