Hi debian-python, I would like to join the salsa Python packaging team [0].
As a Debian LTS team member [1], my main reason for joining is to prepare Debian LTS uploads that are maintained in git in the same repository where the rest of the packaging lives. The Debian Python Policy does not seem to mention LTS maintenance explicitly, but I see several packages with LTS branches, so hopefully this is OK. I don't plan to introduce new team-maintained packages right now, but this may happen in the future. I agree with the Debian Python Team Policy [2]. My salsa username is 'paride'.
