Dear Debian Python Team,

My name is Woohee Yang, and I would like to join the Debian Python Team to
learn and contribute to maintaining Python-related packages in Debian.

I recently completed my Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence at Pukyong
National University in South Korea. While Python is not my primary academic
focus, I have used it extensively for research and development, especially in
AI-related projects using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and PyTorch.

During DebConf24, where I was part of the organizing team, I attended the
Python Team BoF session. I was impressed by how active the team was and also
saw that there is still a lot of work to be done. That experience motivated me
to begin learning Debian packaging and look for ways I could contribute.

Currently, I am exploring the `ytmusicapi` package, and am trying to fix a
small issue as a first step. I hope to grow my skills by contributing to real
packages, even in small ways at first, and gradually take on more
responsibilities.

I would appreciate the opportunity to join the team and would be grateful for
any guidance or feedback.
I confirm that I have read and agree with the Debian Python Team policy, as
stated at:
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst

My Salsa handle: @why

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.

Best regards,
Woohee Yang

Welcome to the team!
