It is designed to be a common testing library for such applications that does not depend on the specific web framework being used. . It works by calling the ASGI app directly rather than via a web server. This package is a (recursive) dependency of the new version of jupyter-server. (More precisely, it is a test-time dependency of a currently unreleased version of picobox.) It will be team-maintained within the Debian Python Team.
