cython-legacy was introduced as a transitional measure until cython version 3.x was supported by all source packages using cython. There are now no source packages in unstable or testing (main) depending on cython3-legacy and no binary packages either, so this legacy package can be removed. (It also has an RC bug against it, and doesn't really work with Python 3.12.) Best wishes, Julian
