Uploading a new major release right now could break a lot of things that depend on it and create a mess right before the freeze. In particular, ganeti, which is used a lot by DSA, and ansible which is used by a lot of people. I'd advise against such an upload except if someone makes sure that it wouldn't break anything sensitive. -- PEB
