Unfortunately (at least if I remember correctly I came up with an example of this lately...) also new stuff does #!/usr/bin/python and assumes it is python3... Do some distros set /usr/bin/python to python 3? Honestly, I think /usr/local/bin scripts then should simply be fixed by the admin. It's not as if they had years to do so. Regards, Rene
