I noticed that distutils in Python 2.7 processed recursive-include
directives differently than older versions. This don't work anymore:
recursive-include foo/ *.py
Instead, you must omit trailing slash from the directory name:
recursive-include foo *.py
I'm not sure whether this change is intentional or not, and to be frank
I have more interesting things to do that investigating it. Also, this
change does not affect Debian packages directly, because you normally
don't run sdist at build time. However, it might badly affect your
upstreams: if they are not paying attention it may lead to producing
broken tarballs.
