IMHO old-versioned-python-dependency tag should be simply removed from lintian. These dependencies can be valid even if dh_py{central,support,thon2} is not used ([email protected] CCed for confirmation)
Agreed. old-version-python-dependency was meant to detect packages that haven't yet been converted to so called "current Python policy". This policy, however, is almost 5 years old. Currently all instances of this tag in the archive are false positives.
