Hi, I'm the current maintainer (and also an upstream author) of the sympy debian package, that is waiting in the NEW queue (thanks to Piotr Ożarowski for sponsoring it). I would like to join the the Python Molules Packaging Team to maintain this and help with other packages if possible. For example I would like to do the python bindings for the petsc library.
