BTW, it has nothing to do with your problem, but it seems that python is resolving the symbolinc links for the sys.path modification when starting scripts like what you are doing. I can't believe the interpreter can be doing something so stupid. This is going to break in some subtle cases, of course. Anyway, it is not recommended to put scripts designed to be executed (like this one) in the python module directories. Now there's just another good reason not to do so. -- .''`.
