Please no. Let's not have multiple solutions to the same problem. This wastes the time of each maintainer of a Python package who needs to work out whether they need to use dh_python, dh_pycentral, dh_pysupport or some combination of the three. We are on the verge of having a greatly improved Python policy, having that policy implemented, and finally having Python 2.4 as default in Debian.
