I discovered several bugs in dh_python when reviewing all packages for the transition. Especially, there are many issues with program packages using distutils. It's a shame I didn't notice them before, but nobody else reported these issues, some of which were trivial to notice. The .py[co]'s of newly generated packages are now correctly removed on upgrade, but the case of those files lying around will indeed have to be dealt with, especially when it affects stable upgrades. -- .''`.
