Hi... Are lintian's current python dependency checks on crack or something?
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/programming/twatch$ lintian -i ../trafficwatch_0.0.1_all.deb E: trafficwatch: python-script-but-no-python-dep ./usr/share/trafficwatch/scripts/db_import.py N: N: Packages that use python scripts must depend on the package N: python-base, probably with a versioned dependency. If the package is N: for python version 2.0 or higher, the proper depends is python2-base. N: N: In some cases a weaker relationship, such as Suggests or Recommends, N: will be more appropriate. N: Last time I checked, there weren't any python-base packages installed on my system, nor provided by any other packages either. Is lintian just plain wrong here, or is it just me? I was also under the impression the correct dependency was: Depends: python (>= 2.2), python (<< 2.3) (or some variant thereof). I have lintian: ii lintian 1.21.3 Debian package checker which I would claim is the latest. =) Peter -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] aka [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG key fingerprint: C746 38A9 D3E4 A171 FB6A 56D4 5E30 DFCC BE11 F437
