thanks for the debian packages from http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePython/index.html, but they are in a rather bad state:
- source package not available - syntax errors in control file (check with lintian) - no dependency information - py[co] files could be generated at install time (see the python-1.5.2 debian packages) - apt download information missing - doc could be in it's own package. It would be nice to have a working package until the standard python packages are available (Gregor, any chance to have them, even for non-free?)
