Dear Debian,

Now that Tails (which is based on Debian) and the Tor Project have merged, I
sent the Tor Project an email (see below), pointing out that many people, for
many years, have been hoping and waiting for Tails to work on mobile phones,
and asking them to use their resources to make it happen. They pointed me to
old Tails developer discussions which basically said they can't do it because
Debian doesn't support phones well enough.

As I understand, Tails used to be based on Ubuntu, and they switched to Debian
because of the higher quality of its releases (ie, "it's ready when it's
ready", not "it's ready on a certain date"). However, Ubuntu is developing a
mobile version, and seems to understand that people want convergence between
their desktop, laptop, and phone (ie, one small but powerful device which does
everything).

Please work on making that kind of convergence possible for OSes which are
based directly on Debian.

Best regards
