Dear Debianites, We are planning a series of usability tests with a group of students, the first round to be run this coming week. We have scheduled our first pilot test on Tuesday (Aug 22), and appointments with volunteer testers start on Thursday (Aug 24).
The first phase of the project aims to tackle the Debian installation process. Not only the installer per se, but the whole process of finding the iso, verifying it, and finally installing the system. We'd like to investigate how easily users can find their way into the installation process, and potentially uncover issues that might prevent users from using Debian.
