OK. I guessed there were a few outcomes:
* "non-free" in the GR was shorthand for "contrib and non-free"
* the GR doesn't specify that, but we take out contrib so we don't
have dangling dependencies
* we leave in contrib, with dangling dependencies
* contrib gets in incorporated into main, with dangling
dependencies
Was it left out on purpose, so this decision could be made later?
