I disagree. My recent face to face meetings with Debian developers and others around the world have reminded me that we do *not* all share a sufficiently common set of experiences to make this content seem like "just common sense" to everyone. On some philosophical level, I lament the need for a document like this. It would be really cool if everyone were willing and able to discuss technical issues at an equivalently high level of discourse. However, given my impressions, I'm thinking this document has the potential to do more good than harm... Bdale
