Commonly used by whom?  As a project, we are Debian.  What the
project produces are these OSes:

>       * Debian GNU/Linux
>       * Debian GNU/Hurd

And some developers are also interested in producing, although AFAIK it
does not have official status:

>       * Debian GNU/BSD

I don't see where the confusion is.  References?
