Hi,

I got now the notification of the update of HPLIP to fix the issues with the new gcc and Python versions.

I am wondering why you have patched the more than 2-year-old HPLIP 3.22.10 instead of using the current upstream version, 3.24.4. Especially as I have already packaged that version for Ubuntu, and on some of the Debian bug reports it was told that rebuilding my Ubuntu package on Debian solves the incompatibility problems, I do not understand why you do not update to 3.24.4.

Are there any special reasons?
