here is what alex pevzner found :
1) compile the git version of ipp-usb : https://github.com/OpenPrinting/ipp-usb 2) install the latest version of ipp-usb of the repositories sudo apt install --reinstall ipp-usb 3) copy and add this quirk in /usr/share/ipp-usb/quirks/HP.conf [HP ENVY 5530 series] disable-fax = true 4) replace /usr/sbin/ipp-usb with the one you compiled . 5) tests . all must be ok .
