Can you scan with any of these? scanimage -d "hpaio:/usb/Deskjet_3050A_J611_series?serial=CN31L1CQMP05WK" > image.pnm simple-scan "hpaio:/usb/Deskjet_3050A_J611_series?serial=CN31L1CQMP05WK" xsane "hpaio:/usb/Deskjet_3050A_J611_series?serial=CN31L1CQMP05WK" You could also try removing the slash from os-release.
