Hi, On my wheezy system:
$ dpkg-statoverride --list /var/run/hplip hplip root 755 /var/run/hplip $ getent passwd hplip hplip:x:113:7:HPLIP system user,,,:/var/run/hplip:/bin/false so the user is present, thus this override does not cause any problem. The hplip package is installed, however, $ ls -ld /var/run/hplip ls: cannot access /var/run/hplip: No such file or directory Also, it's a standard setup, so /var/run is a symlink to /run, which is a tmpfs. In this setting, this override does not seem to be useful anymore. It's managed in hplip.post{inst,rm}, but that stuff should probably be removed, especially since /etc/init.d/hplip does not exist anymore. So after some cleanup this report could be closed, I think. -- Thanks, Feri. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-printing-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
