I just tried with cups 1.6.3-1 (from sid) -- it doesn't fail in the
terrible looping way that wheezy's version did, but it doesn't print
either if i use the ipp:// backend. in /var/log/cups/error_log, it says:
W [26/Jul/2013:17:01:31 -0400] cookie: Printer does not provide REQUIRED
job-id attribute.
and then the job is removed without being printed.
with 1.6.3-1, i can still print if i switch to ipp14:// as the backend,
though, so at least the workaround hasn't been broken (yet)!
