After cups was upgraded to v1.5.0 in testing / Wheezy, I installed c2esp 18-4 and the update to v18-5 came through when I updated today. I re-installed the printer (Kodak ESP 5250) and it successfully printed a test page.
I then tested it to print a document from AbiWord, and selected resolution of 300x1200 - it didn't print, but it didn't have any error messages, though the print job status showed: "c2esp: Page 1 Stripe 5". The printer displayed 'printing' but nothing else happened. If I cancel the print job, the 'printing' message doesn't go away on the printer until I hit the power button and it resets itself, I had to do this several times during the following tests. I found a photo to print in Gimp, asked it to print using Gutenprint and that succeeded. No option for selecting resolution, though. I went back to the AbiWord document, selected resolution 600x1200 using black & white, and this time it printed. Using resolution 300x1200 color, dithered also works. It appears that selecting 300x1200 non-dithered or black & white are the only 2 options that aren't working now. It's probably a conspiracy to force me to use more ink. :-) It's basically working, just not with all the options. The original error is resolved. Let me know if I should file a new bug report and you can close this one? Thanks, Cia W -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
