Hi Adrian,

I burned this installer to DVD and used it to install to a Power Mac G5 Quad. I
am happy to report that it ran through successfully and booted up. It was not
without a few issues - my chosen desktop manager, sddm, doesn't seem to produce
anything, stranding me in X-Windows with just a mouse cursor and nothing else.
My selected desktop, KDE, won't start, claiming it can't connect to the
X-Server.

Still I manually bludgeoned my way around that, installing the full XFCE4 set
of packages and now all is well there. Still no sign of sddm, but startx now
comes up to XFCE4.

My only other major issue right now is that while my display seems to run at
the right resolution, the color depth seems to be wrong, unless this is an
XFCE4 artifact. It LOOKS like it is running 8-bit color, not the 24 bit color
my Quadro FX 4500 graphics card is capable of. Since Debian doesn't seem to use
xorg.conf anymore, I have not yet found a way to check and adjust this.

Still and all, great work! Thanks for this new installer.

Cheers,
Michael
