On a PowerMac G4 MDD (2 CPUs, 2 GiB) (PowerMac3,6 MacRISC2 MacRISC Power Macintosh) upgraded to the latest Debian SID, vmlinux-6.5.0-1-powerpc crashes with "Oops: Kernel access of bad area, sig: 11 [#1]". Kernel vmlinux-6.5.0-1-powerpc-smp hangs (it's not clear whether it crashes) after "Movable zone start for each node." So there may be two issues. Kernels vmlinux-6.4.0-1-powerpc and vmlinux-6.4.0-1-powerpc-smp both work. My first guess, without trying a bisect, is that there may be an issue with "CONFIG_KFENCE", which seem to be expanded in vmlinux-6.5.0-1-powerpc*. I haven't tried the latest Debian kernel on any other PowerMac systems, though I can check on G3 and G5 if that would be useful. -Stan Johnson
