The issue is the following emacs upstream bug [1] which has not been fixed in 
the
Debian package yet. It makes the package uninstallable as explained here [2].

b43-fwcutter is a package in the "contrib" section of the archive which is 
unfortunately
not yet supported in Debian Ports. Same for "non-free". I have asked the Debian 
Ports
FTP team to add these sections for us, so that these packages become available 
in
Debian Ports as well, but this has not happened yet, unfortunately.
