Because a PowerPC Mac CPU is not the same as a PowerPC e500v2 CPU [1], it's a different, incompatible ABI and e500v2 (vulgo "powerpcspe") binaries do *not* run on PowerPC Macs. The PowerPC CPUs used in Macs are just one variant of IBM's POWER architecture [2], there are actually a vast variety of CPUs which are POWER but *not* PowerPC.
