Sorry, that was too quick. Dear list-subscribers, this is my first attempt at Linux, so pls bear with me.
After doing a faultless fresh install on the second internal HD, all attempts at booting debian failed at the same stage. All answers I found elsewhere were from different setups, and I'm still to new to Linux to interpret them right. Here's the case: Power Mac G5 (11,2), dual 2.3 GHz, 5,5 GB RAM, HD1 OSX 10.5.8, HD2 Debian GNU/Linux 7.2.0 "Wheezy" [snip] [4.2…] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off [4.2…] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Write chache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA [4.2…] sd 2:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off [4.2…] sd 2:0:0:0: [sda] Write chache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA [4.3…] input: Primax Electronics Apple Optical USB Mouse as /devices/… [4.3…] apple 0003:05AC:0304.0001: input, hidraw2: USB HID v1.10 Mouse … [4.3…] sdb: [4.3…] sd 2:0:0:0: [sdb] Attached SCSI disk [4.3…] sda: [mac] sda1 sda2 sda 3 sda4 [4.3…] sd 1:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk Begin: Loading essential drivers ...
