Hello, since approximately three weeks, the non-official Emacs repository for Debian on Naquadah Network, maintained by Debian Devel Julien Danjou, support the architecture PowerPC. Emacs users have noticed that Emacs 24 is stable since Jun, 10. So you can now safely install it for Debian unstable/testing and stable from this repository.
If you are interested, please check http://emacs.naquadah.org where you'll find everything to setup APT. Note that few patches are applied to vanilla sources. You can browse them here : http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=users/acid/emacs-snapshot.git;a=log;h=refs/heads/debian/patches With the hope that this powerpc section will help some fellow powerpc users ; kind regards, -- ~ #ID: e20100633 <e20100633()inbox!lv> #TTY: 9-8M 4554 ~ TYPE 1707-A3 S/N L3-M2812 SLACKWARE 13.0 RLU #527034 ,------- They say that Nethack bugs are Seldon planned `-----------------------{,_,"> http://porneia.free.fr/ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-powerpc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
