Hi Brian,

Sorry my mistake, I meant Squeeze & not Lenny as stated. (it was late)

I've been running 'testing' on Mac PowerBook G3 (Lombard) for quite sometime now (from when Squeeze was in testing) & uptill now with no serious issues.

Update:
I realised wheezy install cd (20110620-05:16) runs kernel 2.6.39-2
whereas my installed kernel was 2.6.32-5

However chroot, kernel upgrade & udev --reinstall has not corrected hd direct booting problem.

I've noticed udev_171-2_powerpc.deb 30-Jun-2011 04:32

has arrived in repository http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/pool/main/u/udev/

but as yet apt-get update states udev 171-1 is latest version

Hopefully 171-2 will become available soon & I'll see if it'll cure this problem.

Robert.
