I have been testing various flavors of PPC Linux on my old PowerMac G4 (digital audio) to come up with a replacement for OS X Tiger. The latest, Debian Squeeze with xfce as the window manager. It runs fine, but as with all the other versions I've tried (Lenny, Yellow Dog, Ubuntu, etc.), the sound doesn't work. The CODEC on the sound card is Texas Instruments TA3001C. Has anyone with a similar machine experienced this problem?
