Once again, I have the hardware and the will to do it, but I don't
have the know-how.
I'm afraid I don't have the time to hand-hold you through the exact
steps. Please do a bit of googling etc and ask if you reach a road
block
that you can't figure out.

Can you give me at least a clue? Some terms to google for? The URL
of a website to look at that describes the d-i svn repo and how to
grab something from it? Anything as a starter?
